The other incredibly exciting news is that we have broken ground on Rubanda Solidarity’s new nursery school. Below is a description of the process from our dear friend Peace Uwimana.
The construction of nursery section has commenced with clearing of land. This was done on 14/8/2015 as reflected in the pictures bellow.
After clearing the land, Engineer Byaruhanga Robert from Bushenyi ( Bushenyi is one of the districts in Uganda) started taking measurements of all buildings needed and from here the masons and porters started setting the foundation. Engineer Robert is one of the great engineers in Uganda and in addition, he is the same engineer who constructed most of the buildings in our school.
And this was done on the next day which was 15th August 2015.

As it is shown above, the track has also started to transport materials.
Here is our school coordinator Rogers, where he is, is where the dining is going to be. And next to him is Peace, where the dormitories will be.
As members of Rubanda solidarity school, we really appreciate the great support given by YAMBA ABAANA (help the children) USA. Not only have we schooled members, even the community is very happy of the way their school is developing. For example, most of people here have been employed already to work as porters and masons .This is going to improve on people’s standards of living within Rubanda community.
Dr Bruce and your team, we really thank you so much for the great effort put in towards uplifting our school.
The above work was done in only two days, therefore we shall keep on updating you.
